Carole loved being near any water, our 25 th anniversary was at the Savoy, in a river view room. Carole chose this above all other options. Her dad was in merchant navy, piloted a boat at Dunkirk. Was a lighterman on the Thames and a freeman of the river. So it was fitting that donations at Caroles funeral were for RNLI.
