James William Palmer

My great grandfather joined the Navy three weeks after his 18th birthday, 1941. He served at a shore base in Durban South Africa, HMS Ferret in Londonderry, HMS Duke, HMS Cormorant in Gibraltar, HMS Victory and HMS Asaigai. He left the Navy in the summer of 1946. While I never met him, I grew up hearing about his, and my grandfather's service in the Navy, and am extremely proud of their service. I know he would support the continued work of the RNLI Lifeboats.
