My dad was a lifelong supporter of the RNLI and even volunteered for the boat crew from South Queensferry in his younger years. He and my mother were also saved by Campbell Town lifeboat in a force 8 gale rounding the Mill of Kintyre. He passed away in July 2022 and is sorely missed.
