John was an ILB Crew Member from 1978 to 1987, he was Honorary Secretary from 1998 to 2004. During his time as a Crew member at North Berwick the Lifeboat rescued 19 lives from shipwreck. John also completed 7 years in the Coastguard Auxiliary Service in dedicated voluntary support of Her Majesty's Coastguard. Not bad for a boy from the East end of London! We are all extremely proud of John and miss him everyday.
