Matthew was a loving caring person an environmentalist, traveling around the world by boat. In May 2013 he boarded a famous yacht called The Nina to sail from New Zealand to Australia, there were 6 Americans on board. On June the 3rd they contacted a meteorologist to say that their storm sails were shredded and which way should they sail to get out of the storms, they said that they would be in touch the next day. They did not get in touch again, and were never found. No trace of the yacht.
