Peter Ross Wiggins 20/11/1942 - 23/07/2021 was born in London but raised in Oxford by his adoptive parents William and Annie. After attending Magdalen College School, he moved to Hamworthy to work for the BDH Laboratory Chemicals Division, where he worked until 17/12/1988 when the plant (by this time Merck Ltd) was decommisioned. Part of this site on West Quay was sold to the RNLI. Peter loved sailing and kept a yacht in Poole Harbour so it seems appropriate for his name to be on this lifeboat.
